Cookie Policy
Effective date September 2, 2026
Internet Speed Test (the "Service") uses browser storage technologies to provide the Service and retain user settings, and may use cookies and similar technologies if usage analytics or advertising features are enabled.
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies may be used by the Service and how users can manage them.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files stored in a user's browser when the user visits a website.
Cookies may be used to remember user settings, analyze website usage, or provide advertisements.
Browser storage, online identifiers, and other technologies may also be used for purposes similar to cookies.
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies Used by the Service
The Service may use cookies or similar technologies for the following purposes.
Essential and Functional Storage Technologies
The Service uses browser Local Storage, rather than cookies, to remember the language selected by the user.
The functional information currently stored by the Service is as follows.
- The language selected by the user
This information is used to provide Service features, including retaining the language setting.
Usage Statistics and Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics is not currently enabled on the Service. It may be enabled in the future to analyze site usage and performance.
According to Cloudflare's official information, Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use client-side state, such as cookies or Local Storage, to collect usage metrics and does not fingerprint individuals for analytics.
If Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled, information such as the following may be processed.
- Page and site identifiers, including page path and hostname
- Visit and page-load timing information
- Browser, operating system, and device-type categories
- Referrer, country, and autonomous system number (ASN)
- Page-load performance and Core Web Vitals metrics
Cloudflare's processing of information is governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Advertising
Google AdSense advertising is not currently enabled on the Service. If it is enabled in the future, advertisements may be provided through Google AdSense.
If Google AdSense is enabled, Google and Google's advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver advertisements, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and, where the user has consented, personalize advertisements.
- IP address
- Cookies and online identifiers
- Device and browser information
- Pages visited
- Ad impression information
- Interactions with advertisements, such as ad clicks
Personalized or non-personalized advertisements may be provided depending on the user's region, browser settings, and consent choices.
Google's processing of information is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and advertising policies.
3. Types of Cookies
Cookies and similar technologies that may be used by the Service can be categorized as follows.
Essential Cookies
The basic features currently provided directly by the Service do not require the Service operator to set cookies. Essential cookies may nevertheless be used due to the hosting or security environment or future feature changes.
If essential cookies are used, blocking them may prevent some Service features from functioning properly.
Functional Storage Technologies
The Service uses Local Storage to remember the user's language setting. Local Storage is a browser storage technology that differs from ordinary cookies.
Analytics Cookies
Cloudflare Web Analytics is not currently enabled. If it is enabled, Cloudflare's official information states that it does not use cookies or Local Storage. If another analytics service that uses analytics cookies is introduced, this Policy will be updated.
Advertising Cookies
If an advertising feature such as Google AdSense is enabled, advertising cookies may be used to provide advertisements and measure their effectiveness.
Subject to the user's consent and applicable law, they may also be used to provide interest-based or personalized advertisements.
4. Cookies Set by Third Parties
Some cookies or similar technologies used with the Service may be provided by third parties rather than by the Service operator.
The Service currently uses Cloudflare's measurement infrastructure for internet speed tests. Cloudflare Web Analytics and Google AdSense are not currently enabled and may be enabled in the future.
- Cloudflare: internet speed measurement and, if enabled, Web Analytics
- Google AdSense: if the advertising feature is enabled
Cloudflare's official information states that Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or Local Storage. Other cookies and information set or processed by third parties are governed by each provider's privacy policy and cookie-related policies.
5. Cookie Consent
Optional advertising or analytics cookies and a consent management interface are not currently enabled on the Service.
If optional cookies or similar technologies that require consent under applicable law are introduced in the future, the Service will request the user's consent before using them.
If a consent management interface is provided, users may make choices such as the following.
- Consent to the use of cookies
- Reject optional cookies
- Choose whether advertisements are personalized
- Change or withdraw existing consent
Strictly necessary cookies or storage technologies may be used regardless of the user's consent choices.
6. Managing and Deleting Cookies
Users can view, delete, or block cookies through the settings of their web browser.
Blocking or deleting cookies may reset some site settings or prevent some Service features from functioning properly.
Instructions for managing cookies in each browser are available in the browser provider's help documentation.
7. Browser Storage
The Service uses Local Storage to retain the language selected by the user.
Although Local Storage and similar technologies store data differently from ordinary cookies, they may be used for similar purposes because they store information in the user's browser.
Users can delete stored information through browser settings or the browser's site-data deletion feature.
8. Cookie Retention Periods
The language setting stored in Local Storage may remain until the user changes the language or deletes browser data.
If cookies or similar technologies are added in the future, their retention periods may vary by type and provider.
Some cookies are session cookies that are deleted when the browser is closed, while others may remain in the browser for a set period.
If third-party providers such as Google or Cloudflare use cookies, the specific retention periods are governed by each provider's policies.
9. Changes to This Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy may be changed if Service features, third-party services, or applicable laws and regulations change.
The revised Policy will be posted on this page together with its effective date.
